Students learn essential facts about Prophet Muhammad while focusing on why Muslims study and follow his example.

His mission

Prophet Muhammad was born in Makkah and received the first revelation at age forty. Allah sent him as the final prophet and messenger for humanity.

His example

The Qur'an describes the Prophet as a beautiful example and a person of outstanding character. Studying seerah should help students become more truthful, merciful, patient, and devoted to Allah.

Respectful language

Muslims send peace and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad when mentioning him. Teach the meaning with warmth rather than treating the phrase as a speed test.

  • Muhammad ﷺ is Allah's final prophet and messenger.
  • The Qur'an was revealed to him through Jibril over about twenty-three years.

  • Following his example includes mercy, honesty, patience, justice, and excellent manners.

لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا

Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much.
