Teachers may read this community-shared du'a while preparing a lesson or with students at the beginning of class. Read it slowly in Arabic, then share the meaning so students understand what they are asking Allah for.
Transliteration
Rabbanā-nfa'nā bimā 'allamtanā. Rabbi 'allimnā alladhī yanfa'unā. Rabbi faqqihnā wa faqqih ahlanā wa qarābātin lanā fī dīninā, ma'a ahli-l-qutri unthā wa dhakar.
Rabbi waffiqnā wa waffiqhum limā tartadī, qawlan wa fi'lan karamā. Warzuqi-l-kulla halālan dā'iman, wa akhillā'an atqiyā'a 'ulamā. Nahzā bil-khayri wa nukfā kulla sharr.

رَبَّنَا انْفَعْنَا بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنَا
رَبِّ عَلِّمْنَا الَّذِي يَنْفَعُنَا
رَبِّ فَقِّهْنَا وَفَقِّهْ أَهْلَنَا
وَقَرَابَاتٍ لَنَا فِي دِينِنَا
مَعَ أَهْلِ الْقُطْرِ أُنْثَى وَذَكَرْ
رَبِّ وَفِّقْنَا وَوَفِّقْهُمْ لِمَا
تَرْتَضِي قَوْلًا وَفِعْلًا كَرَمًا
وَارْزُقِ الْكُلَّ حَلَالًا دَائِمًا
وَأَخِلَّاءَ أَتْقِيَاءَ عُلَمَا
نَحْظَى بِالْخَيْرِ وَنُكْفَى كُلَّ شَرٍّOur Lord, benefit us through what You have taught us. Lord, teach us what benefits us. Lord, grant us, our families, our relatives, and the people of our community—female and male—understanding of our religion. Lord, grant us and them success in words and actions that please You. Grant everyone continuous lawful provision and righteous, knowledgeable companions. Let us attain goodness and be protected from every evil.
