ANSWER KEY: Prepare better. Tawakkul combines responsible effort and dua with a heart that relies on Allah rather than on the plan itself.

Qur'an 65:3

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدْرًا

And will provide for him from (a quarter) whence he hath no expectation. And whosoever putteth his trust in Allah, He will suffice him. Lo! Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah hath set a measure for all things.

Tie it, then trust

Call out a goal: pass a test, make a team, repair a friendship, or arrive on time.
Teams have sixty seconds to list effort steps, a dua, and what remains outside their control.
Award a point only when all three parts are present.
TEACHER TIP: Model one example first. Keep teams small, invite quieter students without forcing them, and stop with two minutes left for the debrief.
ASK: Where is the line between responsible effort and trying to control everything?
LISTEN FOR: Every complete answer needs three parts: a lawful effort, a sincere dua, and recognition that the final outcome belongs to Allah.

Check, reflect, and close

ASK: What is the most important idea from today, and how could you use it?
ANSWER KEY: A strong answer should include this idea: Tawakkul is relying on Allah while taking responsible, lawful means.

TAKE-HOME ACTION: Use an effort, dua, result, response plan for one task this week.
